This blackcurrant mead is made from local organic blackcurrants and a mixture of clover honey and rapeseed and ripens in used bourbon barrels where beer was previously stored.
It has an intense red color with a slight purple tint and the aroma of black currant and honey with subtle notes of caramel and vanilla from the barrel. It is sweet, but at the same time very sour. It tastes best slightly chilled.
