This blackcurrant mead is made from locally grown organic black currants and a blend of clover honey and rapeseed. It matures in bourbon barrels, in which beer was previously stored.
It has a very deep dark purple color and a roasted aroma of black currant with the addition of honey, as well as notes of caramel and vanilla from the barrel. It is intense and has an excellent balance between sweetness and acidity. It tastes best slightly chilled.
