Nectar obtained from heather flowers, with specific organic characteristics and smell, is used by bees to produce a very valuable variety of honey. In the liquid state, it has a red-brown coloration. After crystallization, which occurs quite quickly, it acquires a gelatinous consistency. It has a very strong and specific smell, reminiscent of the smell of heather flowers. In taste, it is not very sweet and even slightly bitter. It contains, in comparison with other varieties, a lot of vitamins and minerals.
