Honey composition with notes of plums
One and a half mead Piasecki 750 ml is a natural unsaturated honey, which means that at the production stage it is not boiled at the temperature of 100 degrees Celsius. As a result, it retains the nutritional and health properties of the bee honey used in its production, but also its natural flavour and aroma. A characteristic feature of 'Półtorak Piasecki' is the addition of plum juice, which blends perfectly with the sweetness of the honey to create a distinctive flavour combination, enhanced by the relatively long maturation period. The beverage is produced from a wort which contains half a volume of water per one volume of honey, with an alcohol content of 16%.
Natural quality appreciated by experts
The quality of one and a half mead Piasecki is evidenced, among other things, by numerous awards. In 2017, the beverage was awarded a gold medal in a non-commercial competition organised by the Great Confraternity of Fine Food, Drink and Handicraft. One and a half mead Piasecki was also recognised by the National Council of Winemaking and Mead Making, which awarded it the 2010 Grand Prix for the best mead regardless of category.
