Why Not Negroamaro Primitivo (Zinfandel) Puglia wine is an excellent Italian semi-dry red wine from Puglia. It was made from grapes of Negroamaro and Primitivo varieties, which were harvested by hand. The wine is subjected to traditional red vinification with maceration on the skins, in order to extract the color and aromas. Wine aged about 4-6 months in stainless steel tanks until bottling. Vinification with maceration on the skins, in addition to a beautiful intense ruby color, adds soft, smooth tannins and aromas of spicy spices, dried herbs, which as it matures creates additional accents of vanilla and chocolate in the background. Like any good primitivo, "Why not?" will work well for cold cuts, pastes in meat sauces, roasted white and red meats, lamb, young yellow cheeses.
