Cossack forest honey is produced by bees from the nectar of plants and honeydew. The location of apiaries in the Solska Forest in the immediate vicinity of Roztocze Środkowy allows bees to benefit from the benefits of a specific forest-meadow ecosystem. Forest vegetation provides bees with nectar and honeydew resources, and meadow nectar from melliferous plants of mid-forest meadows of this subregion. This honey is produced under specific conditions located in the hive. Nectar and honeydew collected by bees are processed in the hive and additionally enriched with substances produced by them (e.g. enzymes). Thanks to the work of bees, forest honey gradually ripens in sealed slices. Thus, forest honey is formed naturally, without any interference of the beekeeper in its production process.
Before crystallization, it has a greenish-tea color to light brown, and after crystallization from light to dark brown. In liquid form, it is a dense liquid, and after crystallization it takes on a fine-grained form. It is distinguished by a weak, slightly spicy smell, similar to the smell of beeswax.
Cossack forest honey has strong properties that strengthen and regenerate the body in states of physical and mental exhaustion. It is also recommended in heart and circulatory system diseases and digestive disorders.
