Wine Antinori Solaia Toscana IGT 750 ml

Solaia is one of the supertoscans, a vineyard located next to Tignanello. This is the original blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Sangiovese. Two years ripen in the cellars of Antinorich - first a year in small oak barrels, then another in a bottle. The pinnacle of finesse and elegance. One of the best Italian wines from Tuscany.

Solaia is a vineyard of 20 hectares with exposure to the southwest, located at an altitude of 350-400 meters above sea level, with stony, hard limestone soil "alberese" and "galestro" - clay-limestone soil. The vineyard is located on the grounds of the Tignanello estate. The Antinori family first produced this wine in 1978, and the initial blend consisted of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Cabernet Franc (this composition was also repeated in 1979). In the following years, 20% of Sangiovese was introduced and some adjustments were made to the relationship between Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, until the current mixture was established. Solaia is produced only in an exceptional vintage and was not produced in 1980, 1981, 1983, 1984 and 1992.
