Zozworówka Wódka Starzyka (Gorzka Imbirowa Vodka), in the Beskid dialect ginger is referred to as "zozwor", and "starzyk" is called grandfather. The recipe of this product was obtained from the inhabitants of the Vistula (Wisła is also famous for its zozworków, i.e. shortbread cookies baked with the addition of ginger), who for centuries have been producing it for grand highlander weddings.
According to the traditional recipe passed down from generation to generation, zozworówka is produced by combining rhizomes of ginger, honey, mountain water and neutral 3 times distilled spirit. Ginger root is grated immediately before production, which guarantees the highest quality product with a unique taste and aroma.
