Sparkling wine originating in Spain, near Penedes in Catalonia. The core of the wine consists of Xarel-lo, Macabeo, Parellada together with an admixture of Chardonnay. Cava is produced by the traditional method, which means that the second fermentation takes place in the bottle. The next wine is aged on the lees for a minimum of 15 months.
Thanks to the maturation in barrels, the aromas of wine contain notes of toasted bread to the accompaniment of ripe apples and candied fruits. In the mouth, the creamy structure with harmonious bubbles perfectly balances with the delicate acidity and refreshing fruitiness, at the long finish revealing a slightly bready character.
Cava Reserva will be perfect as an aperitif, but it will also fit perfectly with dishes based on fish or light white meats. It is also an excellent proposition to raise a toast during moments of celebration or during meetings with friends who prefer mature bubbles.
