Champagne Gosset Grand Rose Brut is French rosé excellence - the bestseller of the Champagne region. Like all champagnes, it is recognisable and appreciated by gourmets of the drink. There are those who call Gosset champagnes the champagnes of the purists, as Gosset is one of the last champagne houses (the other being Lanson) where malolactic fermentation is not used to soften and smooth the wines....

Szampan Gosset Grand Rose Brut was matured for 36 months on the lees and contains 12% alcohol. The colour of the wine is reminiscent of salmon-pink wild rose petals. The addition of 8% red wine (the Pinot Noir grapes come from Ambonnay and Bouza) give this pink wine a delicate hue and wonderful fruitiness. On the palate, the Champagne is well structured. It perfectly balances the freshness and roundness of the fruit. The slightly higher lemon acidity adds character, providing an interesting variation on the usually nice strawberry flavours of rose champagnes. It is worth mentioning, however, that here we also find strawberry aromas, but fresher, more vividly slightly more mineral - like fruit after the rain. Although the champagne is young, it will even enhance its beauty in the cellar.
