Barolo Monvigliero Fratelli Alessandria is a fine Italian wine from Piedmont. The Nebbiolo grapes come from the prestigious Cru Verduno, from vines over 40 years old that grow on limestone soils with a characteristic bright white colour. The light, light soil promotes the water stress to which the vines are subjected. The result is wines that are even pale in colour, but with a very wide range of aromas. In this area, the vines enjoy a sublime south/south-west exposure, at an altitude of between 250 and 310 metres above sea level. Spontaneous fermentation takes place in steel tanks for 20-25 days, followed by 36 months of maturation in Slavonian oak barrels, 2 months in steel and at least 6 months in bottle
Barolo Monvigliero Fratelli Alessandria smells of strawberries, but also of herbs, violets, rose petals or forest mulch. One could sniff it endlessly, after each dip of the nose in the glass allows one to catch new elements of this palette. The mouthfeel is superbly concentrated, but at the same time with beautiful balance. Unhurried, spacious, there is room for both strong acidity, fresh fruit and lively tannins. Great potential for maturation
