Jack Daniel's version of Gentleman Jack is a unique representative of the American distillery. First released in 1988, it was created by Lincoln Henderson, the acknowledged master distiller of the Brown- Forman concern. The uniqueness of this spirit lies in the double filtration process through a three-metre layer of maple charcoal.
The first filtration takes place before the distillate matures in handmade oak barrels, and the second just before the finished whiskey is bottled in beautiful square bottles. This production process ensures that the resulting beverage captivates with an exceptionally velvety vanilla and toffee flavour with a slight hint of maple smoke and a toasted aroma with delicately delineated hints of honey and nuts.
Aroma: caramel, vanilla, honey, cinnamon, milk chocolate, roasted buttered corn, bananas and a hint of charcoal.
Taste: mild, vanilla, caramel, candied orange peel, roasted bananas, buttered toast, a pinch of pepper and a trace of soot.
Finish: quite long, caramel, roasted corn with butter and traces of charcoal.
