The health and medicinal properties of rowanberries have been known since time immemorial. In the 19th century, recipes for rowanberry tinctures and liqueurs were in great demand. In the 1960s and 1970s, rowanberry was the most popular fruit vodka.
Jarzębiak is a typical Old Polish speciality. It has a beautiful, natural orange colour and a sweet taste with a delicate tart note characteristic of rowan berries. The essence of the taste and aroma of the liqueur is obtained during maceration of the fruit in original French brandy. The choice of brandy is not accidental. Drawing on the knowledge of our ancestors using wine distillates to extract the best from the rowan fruit, we have referred to true old Polish traditions. Thanks to this unique combination and allowing the liqueur to benefit from the effects of time in the ageing process, we have obtained an exceptionally noble beverage.
As a result of the maturation process, the colour of the liqueur undergoes natural changes over time.
