La Spinetta has been producing wine since 1977 in Piedmont and Tuscany. The family-run company is managed by Bruno, Carlo and Giorgio Rivetti. Today, they are one of the most well-known and respected wine producers in Italy. The name La Spinetta itself means 'top of the hill' and refers to the first vineyard. There is a sense of exotic power and strength in the wine itself. The dominant scent is of dried flowers, which blends perfectly with aromas of earth, spices and berries. This combination lingers on the lips for a long time. The wine's intense red colour is also due to the cherries and raspberries. The wine has perfectly concentrated acidity and balanced tannin. It is stored for 24 months in French oak barrel. 8,000 bottles per year are released to the market, while the aging potential is 30 years.
