La Spinetta presents a sensational dry red wine. It was made from 100% Prugnolo Gentile - a Sangiovese clone from the Montepulciano region. The wine is aged in a French large barrel for 24 months, to be followed by 10 months of ageing in steel, and finally another 6 months in bottles. This dry wine has an intense ruby colour. The bouquet offers aromas of berries, minerals and menthol. On the palate, the wine is full and rich, clean and at the same time a little spicy. It is characterised by strong concentration and fruitiness. This Italian wine has a thirty-year ageing potential. The wine scored 92 points in the Wine Advocate rating.
