An exquisite red wine from the Rhône Valley, a famous region of France. It is produced from the classic "GSM" coupage - in this case consisting of 80% Grenache grapes, 15% Syrah and an admixture of 5% Mourvedre. It is aged for 12 months in oak barrels for exceptional character and maturity.
The wine captivates with a deep colour full of cherry reflections. The aromatic bouquet opens with notes of ripe fruit complemented by hints of leather and spice. The mouth, on the other hand, is filled with a complex flavour full of subtle tannin and balanced acidity on a full and complex body of wine. The ripe fruit and the finish full of vanilla accents perfectly show the character obtained during the barrel ageing process
Gigondas will go perfectly with a board of mature cheeses, as well as with red meat dishes, including well-seasoned steaks or stews. The high ageing potential also makes it an ideal gift for the wine cellar.
