A dry red Italian wine from the Veneto region, made from a combination of Rondinella, Corvina, Barbera, Sangiovese, Corvinone varietals. In the glass a deep ruby colour, delicate aromas of dark ripe cherries, dried fruit, liquorice, smoked earth and chocolate. On the palate medium and substantial, soft and round with a velvety aftertaste with medium acidity and tannins. Aromas of dark dried fruit, spice, cigar box and chocolate, lingering finish. Ideal pairing with game, curry-based dishes or hard, mature cheeses.
