The journey to Islay is not an easy one. It takes time to get there, but the island, as well as the whisky from there, are well worth the effort. Members of the Laing family have been making this journey for generations and will continue to do so to bring back some of the finest malt whiskies Islay has to offer. To produce an outstanding blend of Scotland's finest malts, they have selected a variety of whiskies from some of the finest distilleries to be found on this iconic island.
The balanced smoothness and complexity of flavour and aroma comes from the combination of different malt whiskies, some of which have been aged in hogshead casks (250 -300 L) of American bourbon.
Aroma: intense aroma with notes of smoke, ash and tar.
Taste: strong notes of peat, seawater and seaweed.
