Stag's Leap Wine Cellars Cask 23 Cabernet Sauvignon 750 ml

Legendary California wine characterized by great strength and finesse. Opening the bottle we get a symphony of aromas starting with a sweet, dark fruit, through tobacco notes, herbal notes, to cloves and flowers. Very complex, not obvious, with spicy-mineral notes in the background. The tannin is soft and the tip is extremely long. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon at its best. Masterpiece.

Cask 23 produced only in exceptional vintages, is a blend of the most characteristic fruits from S.L.V. vineyards and FAY vineyards. The history of CASK 23 began during the collection in 1974. The founder of the winery, Warren Winiarski, then asked the well-known winemaker André Tchelistcheff for help. When they were tasting different batches of wines from this year, they paid attention to those from the central part of block 4. They described this party with the words "crushed violets". The aroma was so intriguing that it was decided to age this wine separately in barrel No. 23. The wine after further aging was still wonderful. So Warren decided to bottle them separately and give it a special name - Cask 23.
