One of the famous super-Tuscany, wines produced in the Tuscan region from strains that go beyond the appellately approved varieties. Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Merlot, Syrah and Sangiovese were locked inside the wine. The vineyard where this wine is produced lies within the boundaries of Chianti Classico. The style of this super-Tuscan has been cultivated since 1928, when the first bottle was created at the hands of Marchese Niccolo Antinorego. The wine is aged for 12 months in French, Hungarian and American oak barrels, where its character is formed.
Villa Antinori Rosso IGT is a complex wine with a bouquet full of forest fruits, cherries, nuts and spices with a hint of vanilla. On the palate, the full structure with silk tannins and harmonious acidity emphasize the impression of perfect integration between the individual aspects of the wine. A long and juicy finish perfectly sums up this experience full of elegance and class.
A glass of this supertoscan is perfect for the company of red meats, dishes based on red sauces, hard cheeses and ripe cold meats. It is also a great gift idea for a person who appreciates history and terroir enclosed in a bottle.
