A dry red wine from one of the most prestigious appellations in the world, Amarone della Valpolicella from northern Italy. It is created by blending local grape varieties - Rondinella, Corvina and Corvignone. It owes its unique character to the production method known as apassimento. The harvested grapes are decomposed in special rooms with suitable conditions so that the fruit concentrates as much sugar as possible in relation to water during the drying process and transformation into 'sultanas'. The grapes are then pressed and subjected to slow fermentation.
Thanks to this method, among the aromas we find red fruit, cranberry, strawberry, as well as notes of cinnamon, chocolate, pepper and flowers. In the mouth, a concentrated and dense structure with a hint of sweetness create an unforgettable and long tasting experience.
It is a wonderful essential wine with a complex flavour, so we can serve this wine with game, grilled meats, roasts, maturing cheeses or solo.
