Baron de Ley Reserva Rioja is a dry red wine characterised by nobility, richness and fullness. Deep ruby in colour, the nose surprises with a powerful impact of dark fruits and flowers blending with aromas of ageing. Notes of toffee, coconut and wild herbs are discernible. On the palate, this 100% tempranillo from the Rioja region is soft and supple, leaving its aftertaste for a long time. Matured for 20 months in new barrels and then aged for 24 months in the bottle - this excellent Spanish wine will delight many a taster. The wine is worth decanting. It fully deserved its silver medal in the International Wine & Spirit Competition and received an honourable mention in the Decanter World Wine Awards. In addition, it received an unusual 92pct from James Suckling.
